Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS)

At Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, our diagnostic imaging team includes board-certified radiologists with extensive training in advanced imaging techniques, board-certified registered diagnostic medical sonographers, and radiology residents, who assist our staff and are training to become the future of diagnostic imaging.

Advances in imaging technology have significantly enhanced the diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases in veterinary medicine. Diagnostic imaging enables our team of board-certified radiologists to "see" inside our patients noninvasively, using radiography and fluoroscopy (X-rays), ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), scintigraphy (nuclear medicine), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These tools provide critical information about the internal organs in the chest and abdomen, as well as complex areas like the brain, neck, and spine, with minimal risk to the patient.

Imaging Modalities We Offer at GCVS Houston:

  • Nuclear medicine, I-131 therapy

  • Fluoroscopy

  • Interventional radiology

  • 128-Slice Multidetector Computed Tomography (CT)

  • 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

  • Digital radiography and radiographic contrast

  • Ultrasonography
